On arrive \u00e0 Eden un peu fatigu\u00e9 et restons trois nuits dans un camping verdoyant avec une belle piscine dont on peut enfin profiter car il doit faire dans les 30\u00b0. La ville se situe\u00a0sur des collines bordant Calle Calle Bay et Twofold Bay. Au nord le lake Curalo qui n&rsquo;est pas toujours ferm\u00e9 puisqu&rsquo;il donne sur l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style type=\"text\/css\">\n\t\t\t#gallery-1 {\n\t\t\t\tmargin: class=\"wp-caption-text\">Camping Eden<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Comme on a un peu de temps on vous a trouv\u00e9 le chant de l&rsquo;oiseau qui rigole comme un singe.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/UXA0-YAoo9Q\">Le chant du Kookaburra<\/a>. Ils s&rsquo;appellent quand c&rsquo;est l&rsquo;heure de se lever et de se coucher. Ici on n&rsquo;a pas besoin de r\u00e9veil.<\/p>\n<h1>Killer Whale\u00a0Museum ( mus\u00e9e des orques)<\/h1>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Vieux Tom\u00a0\u00bb et son groupe d&rsquo;orques travaillaient de connivence avec les baleiniers de Twofold Bay pendant des d\u00e9cennies durant la fin des ann\u00e9es 1800 et d\u00e9but 1900. Cette\u00a0entente entre baleiniers et les orques \u00e9tait unique. Ces orques, qui revenaient chaque ann\u00e9e avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 surnomm\u00e9s individuellement par les baleiniers selon leurs caract\u00e9ristiques particuli\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p>Il y avait Tom, Hooky, Humpy et Stranger. Ils dirigeaient les baleines vers Twofold Bay et alertaient les baleiniers de l&rsquo;approche de leur prise en battant vigoureusement l&rsquo;eau de leur queue, et la chasse commen\u00e7ait.<\/p>\n<p>La baleine \u00e9tant harponn\u00e9e, certains orques se roulaient sur l&rsquo;event de celle ci pour l&#8217;emp\u00eacher de respirer et activer sa mort, pendant que d&rsquo;autres nageaient sous elle afin d&rsquo;\u00e9viter qu&rsquo;elle ne coule.<\/p>\n<p>Une fois la baleine morte, les orques mangeaient sa langue et ses l\u00e8vres en r\u00e9compense de leur aide, laissant le reste pour les baleiniers qui tiraient la baleine sur la berge.<\/p>\n<p>La p\u00eache \u00e0 la baleine \u00e0 Twofold Bay a \u00e9t\u00e9 pratiqu\u00e9e jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 20. La derni\u00e8re baleine p\u00each\u00e9e \u00e9tait en 1928.<\/p>\n<p>Le corps de Tom a \u00e9t\u00e9 retrouv\u00e9 flottant \u00e0 Twofold Bay le 17 septembre 1930. Ces restes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9serv\u00e9s et son squelette r\u00e9form\u00e9 pour devenir le premier sujet exhib\u00e9 dans la collection du mus\u00e9e des Orques \u00e0 Eden.<\/p>\n<h1>Des p&rsquo;tites cotes, des grandes cotes.<\/h1>\n<p>Comme toute bonne chose a une fin nous revoil\u00e0 sur nos montures en direction de Merimbula. A peine \u00c9den quitt\u00e9 que se pointe \u00e0 l&rsquo;horizon une cote comme on n&rsquo;aime pas. \u00c9ric toujours devant(uniquement dans les c\u00f4tes) met pied \u00e0 terre et fini en poussant son v\u00e9lo. Mauvais pr\u00e9sage. Avant l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e au sommet nous nous retrouvons comme sortis de la piscine, d\u00e9goulinants, avec une sale impression d&rsquo;\u00eatre dans un four, il est 9h du matin et d\u00e9j\u00e0 34\u00b0. Au bout d&rsquo; 1\/2 heure on repart \u00e0 pieds jusqu&rsquo;au sommet. Heureusement la suite est plus calme et regagnons une piste cyclable de Pambula jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 Merimbula.<\/p>\n<p>Apres l&rsquo; installation quotidienne du campement, nous plongeons dans l&rsquo;eau de la piscine qui arrive tout juste \u00e0 nous rafra\u00eechir avant d&rsquo;aller coincer la bulle au bord du lac.<\/p>\n<p>On a battu notre record aujourd&rsquo;hui, seulement 28 km en 4 heures. On peut les entendre toute la journ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>De \u00a0Bega, 10 km de c\u00f4tes \u00e0 plus de 10% nous attendent. Petits joueurs nous optons pour l&rsquo;option bus jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 Cooma, mais prendre le bus avec des v\u00e9los n&rsquo;est pas chose facile. Il nous faut sillonner la ville \u00e0 la recherche de cartons pouvant contenir les v\u00e9los et il n&rsquo;y a qu&rsquo;un magasin de sport.\u00a0Finalement nous trouvons nos bo\u00eetes chez un marchand de meubles et literie.\u00a0Nous redimensionnons les bo\u00eetes en pleine rue avant que la g\u00e9rante nous propose de laisser nos cartons dans sa boutique et de venir expr\u00e8s \u00e0 6 h du matin pour que nous puissions les reprendre avant l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e du bus. Toutefois ces montagnes ne ressemblent pas aux n\u00f4tres, de loin on voit une cha\u00eene vallon\u00e9e, de pr\u00e8s beaucoup de petites montagnes pointues recouvertes d&rsquo;eucalyptus et parfois d&rsquo;autres plus rondes ressemblant \u00e0 un champ de bosses XXL. Aucun rocher \u00e0 nu comme dans les Alpes, aucune ar\u00eate se d\u00e9coupant dans le ciel. Cette piscine, aliment\u00e9e par une r\u00e9surgence, am\u00e8ne une eau \u00e0 27 \u00b0 tout au long de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e. Le site est magnifique, comment imaginer au milieu de nul part un lieu si bien am\u00e9nag\u00e9 avec une eau limpide, chaude et douce en pleine for\u00eat, bord\u00e9 par une rivi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<div Batlow, la r\u00e9gion de production de pommes. L&rsquo;exploitation est intensive, en arrivant de loin on croirait voir des dunes, mais non ce sont tous ces arbres recouverts de filets.<br \/>\nDe Tumbarumba \u00e0 Cabramurra la route est sinueuse, on perd tr\u00e8s vite quelques degr\u00e9s en montant au sommet.<\/p>\n<p>Cabramurra est la ville la plus haute d&rsquo;Australie \u00e0 1488 m.
