Le centre ville est anim\u00e9, des restos de tous les pays, de belles boutiques, des chanteurs et animations dans les rues. L&rsquo;architecture est un m\u00e9li \u00a0m\u00e9lo pas toujours heureux de b\u00e2timents contemporains, de style art d\u00e9co et victoriens.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style visiter le Parlement appel\u00e9 \u00a0\u00bb la ruche\u00a0\u00bb. La visite guid\u00e9e tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressante nous am\u00e8ne dans les salles, d&rsquo;apparat, des commissions sp\u00e9ciales, des affaires Maori. Celle ci a les murs recouverts de panneaux tress\u00e9s et sculptures en bois. Nous apprenons \u00e0 notre grand \u00e9tonnement que les deux langues officielles sont le Maori et la langue des signes. L&rsquo;anglais bien qu&rsquo; il soit parl\u00e9 dans le pays ne fait pas encore parti des langues officielles. Nous visitons la biblioth\u00e8que Parlementaire de style gothique victorien (construite \u00e0 la fin du 19 \u00e8me) dont la salle de lecture ressemble \u00e0 une chapelle. Dans les sous sols de la maison Parlementaire on nous montre les isolateurs de fondation pour que Maison du Parlement et biblioth\u00e8que r\u00e9sistent aux tremblements de terre. 417 isolateurs furent install\u00e9s lors de la r\u00e9novation, ils soutiennent le poids des deux b\u00e2timents et peuvent amortir un tremblement jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 7.5 sur l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle de Richter. L&rsquo;apr\u00e8s midi est d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la visite de la City Wellington Gallery o\u00f9 peu d&rsquo;\u0153uvres nous ont inspir\u00e9s. (r\u00e9solument trop modernes pour nous)<\/p>\n<p>Notre\u00a0deuxi\u00e8me journ\u00e9e apr\u00e8s avoir fait quelques courses dans un vrai march\u00e9, est consacr\u00e9 au mus\u00e9e commun\u00e9ment appel\u00e9 Te Papa mais dont le vrai nom est Te Papa Tongawera (le lieu des tr\u00e9sors de cette terre).<\/p>\n<p>Quatre \u00e9tages et au moins plusieurs jours pour tout voir, comme il ne nous reste que deux jours, nous visitons l&rsquo;expo Maori et l&rsquo;expo sur les tremblements de terre. Le r\u00e9alisme fait froid dans le dos ainsi que les images et vid\u00e9os propos\u00e9es.
